Thank-you to my priests!

On this feast of St. John Marie Vianney, patron of priests I would like to thank those priests who have influenced me in some way or another throughout my life. Though I cannot list them all, here are a few. The priest who baptized me and brought me into God’s family on August 7, 1994: Fr. Roy Bauer. The priest who first absolved me of my sins in 2nd grade: Fr. Mark Seiker. The priest who gave me

Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time in 2nd grade: Fr. Mark Seiker. The Bishop who confirmed me back in fifth grade: Bishop John J. McCraith. To all of the priests who have had other impacts on me in my life: Fr. Joshua McCarty for being my Confirmation teacher as well as a great friend and role model. Fr. Gerald Baker for hearing my confessions & bringing me Jesus so many times and for truly inspiring me. Fr. Bruce Fogle & Fr. Richard Cash who first trained me how to serve and started my great love of the Liturgy. Also to Fr. Bruce for dumping me in the pool, when I was little while I was fully clothed and breaking my first scapular…lol, For those other priests who have been great role models and friends: Fr. Jewel Aytona CPM, Fr. Joseph Aytona CPM, Fr. Ken Geraci CPM, Fr. James Walling CPM, Fr. Andy Caravahlo CPM. For Fr. John Rickert who celebrated the first Latin Mass I attended, For the Franciscans, who have become such great family friends and were always willing to chat when I needed to: Fr. James, Fr. Kurt, Fr. Tom, & the other Fr. Tom. For my parish pastor who brings me Jesus each Sunday: Fr. Freddie Byrd. For those priests who influenced me, but are no longer of this world: Fr. Eugene Middendorf, Fr. JJ Lakers, my uncle Fr. Silas Musholt OFM. For all of the priests whose names I never learned, or who I cannot list, thank-you for saying Yes to God, thank you for becoming priests, and thank-you for all that you have done for me!
