Wow! As of next Tuesday I will have been at Bruté for 2 months. It doesn’t seem like it could have been so much, or so short. Time really has flown by. I haven’t posted on here in quite a while, so since I had some free time tonight, as I don’t have any mid-terms to study for I thought that I would make a post and let you all know what I have been up to.
Within the past two months I have been exposed to so many different things and had the opportunities to participate in so much. I have served for the Latin Rite Patriarch of Jerusalem (His Beatitude… 🙂 ), Served the Red Mass, Sat in choir for the Pro-Life Mass, & the Jubilee Mass. I have met 7 new Bishops, more than 20 priests. I have gone to the Indy Oktoberfest, tried new restaurants, gone to Mass each day straight. I have met so many great guys here at the Seminary, and have grown both, physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
There are so many things that I have participated in and that I have had the opportunity to participate in. I have received messages from lots of peoples back home including 2 classes of kids. It really has made my day, each time I saw letters in my mailbox. This week we have been taking Mid-term tests in most of my classes. I have had tests in Philosophy, Psychology, Spanish, and will have more when I return from Fall Break.
I decided to stay up here over Labor Day, so this weekend will be the first time that I am able to be home in 2 months. Man oh man, have I missed the place. Saturday I will finally be able to attend the Rosary Rally in Morganfield, and will hopefully get to visit some of my friends.
Please continue to pray for myself and for my brother seminarian’s in the Diocese of Owensboro as well as all of the seminarians here at Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary. May God bless you abundantly and hopefully I can make a more descriptive/substantial post next time, sometime soon.
