Wait! Christmas isn’t over yet!

Well I hope that this post finds everyone happy, healthy, and well-fed after their family’s celebration of Christmas yesterday. I didn’t post anything, because yesterday should have been a family day for everyone, and not really a time for reading or posting on blogs. Here is a quick post about Christmas, and how it isn’t over yet!

A helpful reminder for all Catholics, and non-Catholics:
Christmas isn’t over yet! In fact, it is just beginning!

Have you ever wished that it was Christmas time all of the year? Well, it’s not all of the year, but it is for 18 more days! Christmas Time lasts from Christmas Eve until the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, the Sunday following January 6 (the Feast of Epiphany). So DON’T take down your tree or put away your Christmas decorations yet! Christmas is only just beginning! Let’s all continue to LIVE the Christmas season and the message it brings of peace, love, and hope, for all of mankind.

For those that follow the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, Christmas Season doesn’t end until February 2nd, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (Candlemas). (So it can stay Christmas time even longer for you!)

Lucky people that follow the Extraordinary form! They get to celebrate longer than we do! But what we can do, is to continue to live our lives for the Christmas message. We can continue to welcome the Christ-Child into our hearts, homes, and minds each and every day for the rest of the year. I’m hoping to post a post each day during this Christmas Season, minus the 6-9, because I will be on retreat with my brothers from Bruté. Have a Merry Christmas Season everyone! And if your outside looks like mine, enjoy the blizzard!
