Well here I am, with one week left at Gasper River Catholic Youth Camp & Retreat Center. Where on earth has the summer gone? If you find out, please let me know… 🙂 I am so thankful for the many experiences that this summer has brought. Almost everything in some way has aided my formation in forming me into the man God created me to be and one day God-willing, a priest.

To my fellow Gasper Staff, thank-you for the experience of a lifetime. I couldn’t have imagined spending my summer in a better place than with all of you. You have all been a part of my formation, and for that I am extremely grateful. To the people of St. Joe’s who graciously welcomed me into your parish community on many a weekend; thank-you!

I forgot to post on Friday, but happy feast day to all at my home parish of St. Ann in Morganfield! You were and always will be in my prayers as I hope that I am in yours. Also, happy grandparents day on Friday to my grandparents! Especially to those who cannot be with us in this present life; namely my grandfather Dale Bruns, my Great-grandmother Carrie and all those who I did not have the privilege to meet. Happy grandparents day also to my grandmother Wilma Bruns as well as Stan & Mary Musholt!

Please pray for me as I continue through this week and in the future as I head back up to Bruté in a few weeks, know that you are all in mine. May God reward you!

+In His Mercy,

Corey
